Notes of dried apricots, white grapes, wood, white grapefruit and touch of mushrooms are elevated by cooling sensation lingering in the throat. Aroma of this tea is well preserved and floral notes can be experienced by taking breath in, with teacup at your mouth before taking a sip. Because of machine picking tea leaves are not very appealing, but when hot water hits the leaves this tea tells completely different story. Both taste and aroma are very well balanced and complex. Tea is sweet and smooth, honey, layers of fruits and touch of floral notes linger long after drinking. Tea liquid is sweet, thick, smooth, coating and lingering. Flavors and aromas are predominately green, fruity, creamy and with a touch of florals. Tea clarity and separation of flavors is beautifully carried on a creamy, milk candy like Nai Xiang base. This tea is not only about milky aroma, but more about how it have been affected by growing in a very unique terroir. Nai Xiang is not dominant in this tea, we choose it because of balance of flavors, its creaminess, sweetness, fruity and floral characteristics. Real Jin Xuan is very appealing and delicious but absolutely no milk or any additives are involved in the processing. The milky aroma comes from the lactones that occurs naturally as this tea goes through fermentation\/oxidation. It important to know how to recognize that this is the real Jin Xuan, which can be done by observing spent leaves. It \u003cspan\u003eis nicely pressed and removing whole leaves is very easy whilst cakes themselves are firmly holding together. Our 2020 Sun Moon Lake comes from family which is a third generation of hongcha makers, farmer who made it started making red tea at age of 12. Even in times when oolong gains more popularity this family is still dedicated entirely to making high quality hongcha. This tea is made of Hong Yu cultivar 18 (Ruby 18), which have some of natural spiciness that requires great skills to remove from taste but keep some of it in the aroma. Place where those tea plants grow is surrounded by orange and tangerine trees and whiff of their scent is still present in the aroma of dry leaves. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p4\"\u003eAs soon as water hits the leaves, sweet scent of red, dried fruits and rose hip fills the room and promises great tea session.
