Since I’ve tried this tea it was on my mind and in my tea cravings every day since. Considering how proud we are of every PuErh in our offer, this is quite a feat.
Made exclusive of tips coming from over 200 yo trees from YiWu, this tea was made to impress. Stored in Taiwanese dry storage it have aged steadily and slowly, allowing it to keep a lot of its freshness while it have finally reached the point where it’s obviously matured, I would say surprisingly well for its age.
Very thick and sweet liquor is smooth and rich, very complex layers of woody notes give it feeling of being well aged, creamy notes work well with its thickness and bring to mind condensed / powdered milk. Slight nuttiness and and floral notes bring out its freshness and relatively young age.
There is some herbal and old leather notes in aroma that are not there for me in taste, but definitely add to enjoyment of this beautiful tea.
Sessions I had with this tea were always bringing calmness but also moving me from inside, great tea for any occasion but also catalyst for inner exploration.
