This cake is the same material as 2008 Mengla and 2009 Mengla we have in our offer. 2010 was last year when this particular material was pressed. After 2010 area this tea is coming from became too well known, trees over picked and prices too steep.
Thankfully 2010 is excellent vintage and this tea have aged considerably, become sweet, smooth and very thick. Aroma of sweet, delicate wood with touch of florals nicely translates to the taste, with addition of fruity and creamy notes.
This tea is very comforting but also have strong invigorating energy.
We always do our best to offer only clean teas that were cleanly made and grew without use of any agrochemicals. Since demand for material from this area have increased this year have been tested against 400 pesticides and harmful chemicals and passed it with flying colors.
