Dragons Concubine (龍貴妃) is very premium and rare tea, not only it requires great skills to make it right, but also it needs conditions that are beyond control of tea master. For material to be used to make this tea it requires tea plants to be jassids bitten to great extent. From leaves bit so considerably you can produce highest grade of Oriental Beauty, only reason of making this one into black tea is cultivar. It actually is processed like oriental beauty would, but then it is finished like black tea. This way tea master can extract amazing taste and aromas that are hard to compare to anything else. This tea is dancing with senses between characteristics of black tea, oriental beauty and even to certain extent DanCong. Very rich taste and aroma start with honey notes and very quickly become more complex than quite anything that I’ve tasted before.
My notes after just first cup consisted fresh and vibrant fruits like a tropical punch with subtle coconut, sweet malt, florals, lychee and orange chocolate. You can really get lost in richness of this tea. It’s liquor is crystal clear, sweet, smooth medium to thick and coating. It lingers long as I thought only great yancha or DanCong could.
Then there is its Cha Qi, it is one of most powerful and punchy I had pleasure to experience. Slightly intoxicating and very vibrant. Now that is tea that will get you tea drunk very quickly.
We have very limited amount of this tea so we can offer it only in smaller amounts.
Please brew this tea at 90°C or less for best experience.
