Shí Ru (石乳) means milk from the stone.
Shí Ru is a very old cultivar and was said to be used as a Gong Cha (貢茶), meaning a tea that was used to serve the emperor. Nowadays, Shí Ru becomes less common because it is a tea that truly test the skill of the Tea Master. Many tea masters would rather choose a simpler tea to be safe, and might end up loosing the whole batch. Our Tea Master is confident enough to take that challenge and in result makes this wonderful tea. Our Shí Ru is fully hand made to ensure the best quality and it represents 70% of all the Shí Ru from WuyiShan.
Shí Ru is a creamy tea, with floral and fruity notes. Shí Ru can be very floral with a dessert like creaminess when roasted lightly. Medium roast Shí Ru is very balanced with a rich tea soup and the most amazing aromas that stay with you for hours.
