Wu San Te is not part of Zhengyan reserve, however it is well known to produce one of the best ShuiXian around, partially because of much higher elevation and unique tea character. This tea comes from at least 80 year old bushes and that gives it incredible complexity and richness.
Shui Xian (水仙) means daffodil or narcissus, that usually translates into tea character, this one is more dessert like.
Dry leaves in hot gaiwan give off scent of dark chocolate, raisins and dried cranberries. Aroma after brewing is similar, more sweet, creamy with dark caramel notes. Liquor is smooth, thick and with moderate sweetness, that word well with initial notes of cocoa nibs and dried fruit, as session progresses tea turns more fruity.
Delicious tea with very rich flavour and definitely treat to any dessert lover, especially when it comes to dark chocolate.
