When this tea was made in 1980 it was processed in more contemporary style than our 1968 Oolong. That is of course affecting how tea tastes and even after 40 years of aging it still makes a difference.
Brewed tea is very sweet, very smooth, creamy and thick. In taste and aroma there are notes of aromatic wood, fruits, cream, fudge and caramel. Liquor is very coating and lingers in the mouth for long time after drinking.
Its desert like character translates beautifully to this tea energy. It’s Cha Qi is very comforting and calming, maybe even slightly intoxicating whilst at the same time it still have enough power to stimulate and clear the mind.
