Bai Hua Zhai is a little village settled near to a national preserved reservoir, located at an elevation of close to 2500m, near to Yong Der snow mountain in Lincang. Pristine environment around the village is home to many old tea trees. This tea is made of first flush leaves coming from tea trees no younger than 300 years. Picking is bud and two leaves, because of that this white has a more rounded full body texture when compared to Fuding white. Farmer making this tea also makes PuErh, she uses same material but making white tea is much more time consuming. Whole process takes from 7 to 10 days, while producing PuErh takes in comparison just 2.
All this effort pays of as tea is simply amazing. From the first sip I knew that this tea and I will become great friends. It’s beautiful liquid evolves from pale green to amber orange over the session. Complex flavors and aromas of fruits, honey, malt, florals and green vegetables are accompanied by pine freshness elevating its thick, smooth and sweet liquid.
Leaves of this tea are large and beautiful, to accommodate them we have special large tin containers. Those can fit 120g of tea, our largest container we offered before just 36g. We hope many of you will have a chance to enjoy this amazing tea, it’s definitely something that we are proud to offer.
