Very small batch production (only 240 cakes were made), material coming from highly prized Lao Man Er. Large leaves coming from old trees (200-250 year old) smell very characteristic for this region, bursting with sweet, fruity aroma.
When we received this tea flavors have been muted, but 2-3 weeks of rest have brought out more depth, obvious fruit, wood and nutty notes along with bitterness. Bitterness brings a lot of retuning sweetness, liquor is smooth and thick with just a touch of astringency in first couple of infusions. Very well processed material that brings out what’s best about LME while keeping in check bitterness and astringency.
Another characteristic thing about LME is tea energy, and this one doesn’t disappoint with lively and uplifting feeling building up inside after every cup.
