XiGui and BingDao have been called the nobles of PuErh tea. XiGui is situated in the eastern part of LinCang, very close to BangTung. Tea trees are located at about 750m, growing among other trees in the forest. Natural forest on land with red soil/ mud. Leaves from the trees are harvested only twice a year, and are coming from very well protected area.
Comparing XiGui to BingDao, the texture of XiGui is not as thick but more silky. XiGui also has a slightly bitterness and astringency which at the same time carries a much stronger Cha Qi. Huigan is very obvious from the third infusion onwards, mesmerising orchid aromas shows up from forth to sixth infusion. XiGui is very juicy, probably due to the rich minerality of tea from this area. This tea can last for many infusions.
