Jin Suo Shi (金鎖匙) means Golden Key. Dry leaves give sweet herbal aroma with chocolatey touch to it. When brewed there is creamy aroma of mung beans on top of that. Mung beans also translates into taste and gives tea sweet mochi like sweet desert quality. Liquor is smooth and medium thick, with consistent menthol / eucalyptus like freshness quality to it. Brew is sweet and complex, with notes of various herbs, touch of florals and nuttiness. Rich Yan Yun comes with returning fruity, vegetal taste and some more freshness. Light roast gives this tea slight astringency that adds to the texture and works well with tea fresh side.
Very interesting and easy to drink yancha, it’s refreshing, rich and complex. Definitely works well with light roast preserving a lot of nuanced high notes.
