ShuiXian (水仙) is varietal associated mainly with yancha, brought to Taiwan from Fujian very long ago. ShuiXian can be made into many types of tea, this one was processed into Taiwanese Ball Rolled style oolong. DaYue (大葉) means big leaf.
First striking thing about this tea is aroma, it is alluring and from the very first brew filling entire room with sweet, creamy and chocolatey notes. Liquor comes with medium thickness and very strong texture. Taste is sweet and buttery with notes of cookies, fruit (dried goji berries and yellow plum) and cream.
Anyone fairy familiar with ShuiXian will instantly recognize characteristic taste of this cultivar, that lies beneath flavors and comes out in more obvious manner in later infusions. Lovely and unique tea that will be feast for senses of every oolong aficionado.
