A long long time ago, people often forgot what year they were born at. So Gods decided that as animals are very close to humans, animal will be assigned to each year. One of the Gods decided to hold a race for all animals to cross the river and the first twelve animals who will cross it, will represent the twelve Chinese Zodiac Signs. There are many versions of this story on how the animals used all kinds of tricks to win the race, some are really funny like one how rat have pushed cat into the river. The first animal that crossed the river was that rat, next came the ox, and the ones that followed after were tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, chicken, dog and lastly pig. Twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac represent 12 year lunar cycle, all of the animals also have their own character that may be attributed to person born in their year. The Chinese Zodiac teapot shows all twelve animals and for anyone who owns the teapot those will bring blessing and strength of those animals each year.
