Bai Rui Xiang (百瑞香) means “Winter Daphne” it’s old cultivar with relatively long history. Very aroma forward tea with as its name suggest, floral, sweet and fruity aroma with absolutely beautiful tapestry of tropical fruits aroma filling the room as soon as water hits the leaf.
Tea liquor is sweet and layered, smooth and thick with intense and complex flavors dancing between donuts, punchy citrus fruits and spices. This tea lasts very long and keeps its complex fragrance to the very end, it also lingers in the throat with it’s taste and aroma staying with you throughout the day, long after drinking the tea. Even though this tea is one of my favorites now, it will evolve considerably within next 6 months or so (writing it in March 2020), making it extraordinary and even more unique.
